We arrived in Punakha after a long drive all the way from Bumthang with a quick stop in Phobjikha Valley to visit Gangtey Monastery and our driver’s family. After a few days shivering in the cold of central Bhutan, Punakha was crazy hot. The town is most famous for its Dzong- the most beautiful in the country, and Chimi Lhakhang or Temple of the Divine Madman.
