Seoul (cont.)

Nested between two palace complexes is a labyrinth of small streets meandering through the beautiful Bukchon hanok village. The area is filled with small shops and restaurants, private galleries and street artists, tiled roofs and wooden doors, and countless number of young Korean couples walking around hand in hand. Nearby is Insadong, the first ‘Cultural District’ in Korea. This pedestrian street is teeming with antique shops, galleries, studios, handcraft shops, street eateries, and Ssamjigil shopping mall which definitely lives up to its nickname Alive Museum. I was so much in love with this whole area that I did not even bother to check out the other side of the River, the new Seoul.
